IDOL scoring for 4/10

It's the Elite Eight...And It's Latin Night...Shocker: For all the diva talk that host Jennifer Lopez gets saddled with, she appears to relate to the Idol contestants better than anyone so far...

MELINDA DOOLITTLE: "Sway"
Melinda's biggest issue continues to be the fact that she looks ten years older than she is. I agree with Simon, while melinda is vocally smooth, this was a little lackluster.
SCORE: 1

LAKISHA JONES: "Conga"
Kiki takes a chance and decides to wow the crowd with new dance moves and a rhythmic song. I thought it worked, Simon and Paula say "Nay, too safe."
SCORE: 6

CHRIS RICHARDSON: "Smooth"
I want to satrt by calling "bullcrap" on the tmz.com rumors that Chris has been trolling for C-level reality stars. His Mom and his kid sister are there for God's sake. As far as Chris' performance goes: "Meh."
SCORE: 7

HALEY SCARNATO: "Turn the Beat Around"
Haley's trying, perhaps too hard, as it all seems a bit desperate. I hope her day job is still there as I fear this was it for her.
SCORE: -1

PHIL STACEY: "Maria Maria"
Phil, like Sanjaya, floats in his own universe, he never impresses, he just keeps on ticking. Weird.
SCORE: 5

JORDIN SPARKS: "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You"
Jordin is horrifically dressed, but her stage prescense overcomes what appears to be stretch pants from Wal-Mart.
SCORE: 4

BLAKE LEWIS: "I Need To Know"
What a suck up Popeye is, singing a song be Jennisfer Lopez's husband. Hell, it works, don't it?
Nice fedora, he looks like a frat boy on Spring Break in Cancun.
SCORE: 16

SANJAYA: "Blah Blah Blah-o"
For Latin Night, they've made him to look like a member of the Sharks from West Side Story. "I Want To Be In A-Mer-ee-ka"
SCORE: 3
